Mother's Day Craft Ideas Using the Cricut

Hey Y'all,
The next couple of posts are going to be me sharing some cool project ideas for some of the acknowledgments that are right around the corner. The biggest and closest, which is exactly a month away from this weekend, is Mother's day. Yes, for those of your who forgot it was only a matter of weeks away, you're welcome. My mother loves personalized, home made gifts to place around her home. I think that as mother's, we appreciate the fact that someone took time out of their busy lives to stop and think about them for a few moments in order to create the perfect gift. The good news is, if you have a Cricut machine, you can create and personalize some really beautiful gifts that any mother would love.
So in order to get ideas of a few things I might consider making my mom, I decided to make a list and showcase a few projects I found on pinterest. All of these projects can be made using your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker and use various materials. While most of these are vinyl projects of some sort, there are also some that feature materials that you may not be aware the Cricut machines will even cut.

This is a cute little dish with a beautiful mother quote. This could easily be made with cut vinyl using the cricut design space. I absolutely love cute dishes on my counters to hold my jewelry.

If you are a mom of girls, these mother daughter t-shirts are wonderful to wear out together. You can put something like this on with HTV (heat transfer vinyl) and a heat press. I'm thinking of making shirts like this for me and Braelynn, regardless of it being Mother's day or not, but I think these would be cute to wear out to lunch.

These adorable tea towels can easily be created and personalized to say just about anything. You can actually make these two different ways. One way would be to use HTV and iron it on, or your could create a stencil from vinyl and use fabric paint for a more rustic look.

I'm a huge fan of signage using quotes around the home, especially those with a farmhouse feel to them. This would be a simple yet stunning project to create for your mom. I love the way this looks, so much so, that this is a front runner for one of the projects I'm thinking of creating for my mom.

Mom, I know you're reading this, and no, I'm not going to give away your Mother's day gift.

I am so in love with these earrings created by Stephanie at Crafting in the Rain. I haven't gotten brave enough to cut leather or some of the thicker materials with my Cricut, but seeing her earrings makes me want to change my mind.

If you have a Cricut Maker, not only am I jealous, but you can cut fabric for some adorable projects. I don't think my mom would use these, but I do believe that someone's mom might, and they really are adorable. Take a look at See Lindsay and see how she made hers.

My mom LOVES to cook and she is AMAZING! This is such a beautiful glass dish to keep in a kitchen that does a lot of cooking. You can easily create your own by creating a stencil using your Cricut machine and apply etching cream. For a look into how this was made, take a look at Hello Creative Family and find out how.

Help your mom keep her favorite beverage cold with a quote that is the most honest quote to represent motherhood. You can easily make these with some glitter HTV and an iron or heat press. This is a quick project to keep in your back pocket for all kinds of functions.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. I had a blast looking up fun projects to create for my mom, and hopefully you got a couple of ideas for your mom as well.

Be Blessed
Jess
